Concussion warnings too late for N.J. athlete →
It’s not just high school and college players that try to hide their symptoms so that they can play.  For example, Pittsburg Steelers player, Hines Ward, said the following when speaking negatively about Ben Roethislberger and his absence from the lineup when he had a concussion, “I’ve lied to a couple of doctors saying I’m straight, I feel good when I know that I’m...

Even without looking at the origin, I could tell this list was from the UK.  Fifth most popular boys name, “Alfie”?! On the girls list, Poppy at 25, Freya (?!) at 26, Imogen at 40, Maisie at 41, Matilda at 51.  Niamh at 71…what the heck kind of name is that?  And, what’s up with the old lady names: Eleanor at 77, Martha at 84, Florence at 97 and Evelyn at 98?  Those crazy...

Dear Robot
Found “someone” new to follow on Twitter.  Here’s a post from today which made me smile: Dear Tiger Woods, we can’t help you like we did MJ, RK, OJ and Kobe.  Sincerly: The Niggas I don’t know who RK is, and sincerely is spelled wrong, but I think you get the point.

Yes, that stuff is snow →
Woke up to (light) snow outside.  Unusual because 1) it’s not officially winter yet and (even bigger) 2) we live in the San Francisco Bay Area, and it doesn’t snow at our elevation!  Wish I’d taken a photo of the snow on top of the a-frame dog house.  It reminded me of a chalet.

Ch-ch-ch-changes
Today is my middle child’s 15th birthday.  I’m so proud of him.  He is amazing.  I see things in his future that make me sure he’ll be on his way out of the nest as soon as he is 18.  That means I have him for another three years.  That’s all.  Sigh.  I’m going to be a mess when he leaves for college.  I miss him already.
